Welcome to Preschool
Welcome to LIA Preschool!
As I begin my tenth year serving you as Preschool Coordinator it is truly my pleasure to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to you as we begin the 2020-2021 school year at Lincoln International Academy. August is the time of year to reconnect with old friends and welcome new friends. At LIA we are pleased to welcome everyone to the 2020-2021 school year! To those students and parents who are new to LIA we extend an especially warm welcome and best wishes for an exciting and productive year in your new school. We hope that you will quickly feel at home and become involved in the activities of our school through the LPA (Lincoln Parent Association) and your child’s classroom program.
For many of you, Lincoln International Academy is the beginning of your child(ren)’s education. Our staff is thrilled to be building the educational foundation upon which your children grow. LIA Preschool is a happy, welcoming school in which your children will be nurtured as they embark on their academic careers. I am glad to welcome you as partners in your child’s learning and hope you will be a familiar face at LIA Preschool.
Our Preschool services grades PK2-Kindergarten. Our staff is talented and specifically trained at early childhood education. Best practices are implemented as we ensure that your children receive both the social and academic curriculum.
In addition to creating a welcome and thriving community for the students, we are incorporating the California Preschool Learning Foundations, Common Core State and California State Standards to educate your children attending PK4 and Kindergarten. Those standards define what all students are expected to know and be able to do. Our staff will be focusing on ensuring that we are in a climate of professional learning, as we believe that it is best practice to be life-long learners.
Your child is our top priority and we look forward to continuing to work together. Please remember to encourage your child to read at home. By modeling good reading habits and getting excited about what you are reading and learning your child will be sure to follow.
We value your participation during all school events and hope to provide a variety of opportunities to help us connect with your child and family. Educational research shows that one of the most important characteristics of an effective school is building a strong home-school relationship. LIA welcomes your involvement and seeks to create a strong home-school relationships.
