Dear parents and students,

At Lincoln International Academy, we understand the importance of helping students prepare for the college admissions process. College and career advising at LIA is individualized and comprehensive to meet students' specific needs and assist them in making informed college decisions. Resources, encouragement, and guidance are provided to work towards students’ goals. Visits from admissions representatives from all of the major colleges and universities are scheduled, and interested juniors and seniors are invited to attend the presentations.

 

The college counselor is available to meet with students whenever they wish to begin exploring secondary and postsecondary options. College and career services include, but are not limited to, support in the following areas:

 

• Using career and college planning tools available through MaiaLearning.

• Creating a personalized college list tailored to students' interests, abilities, and needs.

• Monitoring college applications. 

• Building résumés.

• Accessing financial planning resources and scholarship opportunities.

• Offering a College Admission Senior Advisory (CASA) course during senior year.
