College Counseling

Dear parents and students,

Welcome to high school!

The counseling department at Lincoln International Academy provides a comprehensive service to the student body of the school. These services are aimed at meeting the needs of students in the following areas: academic, learning, social, emotional, college and career. Information is provided to our students through individual and group guidance. Our counselors are also available to meet with parents, please make an appointment if you need to meet with your child’s counselor. The department is made up of 3 counselors, a college counselor and counselors for preschool, elementary and secondary schools to offer personalized service to each of our students. The college counseling program is an important, dynamic, and individualized process at Lincoln Academy. Every student meets with the college counselor to evaluate grades, test scores, extracurricular activities, personal qualities, and interests and, based on those evaluations, to build and shape a list of colleges to which the student will apply.

As your college counselor, it will be a pleasure to guide you through the important process of selecting and applying to colleges and universities! The different on-line resources presented here will help you find the ideal college major, apply to college and financial aid, search for the ultimate summer program, get familiarized with testing requirements and practice, find out about opportunities for athletes, and other interesting information.

In the College Counseling Office you also have access to a wide array of current information and resouces related to the selection of colleges and all activities associated with the college application process. The College Counseling Office is available to students and parents every day of the school year from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In encourage all students and parents to contact me by phone at (505) 2276-3000 ext. 112 or by e-mail at czamora@lincoln.edu.ni with any questions or concerns.
